Furnish a blanket of uniform thickness consistingof curled wood excelsior secured on the top side to a biodegradable,photodegradable extruded plastic mesh. Make the blanketsmolder resistant without the use of chemical additives. Conform tothe following:(1) Excelsior fibers A 8-inch length 80% min.(2) Mesh size 1-inch by 2-inch(3) Blanket mass/area 15 oz/yd 2 ±10%(c) Mulch blanket. Furnish a 0.12- to 0.50-inch thick blanket consistingof organic, biodegradable mulch such as straw, curled wood cellulose,coconut coir, or other material evenly distributed on one side ofa photodegradable, polypropylene mesh having a minimum mass of 8ounces per square yard.(3) Type 3 - Coconut mat. Furnish a mat consisting of undyed untreatedbiodegradable jute, coconut coir, and synthetic polypropylene fibers orother approved yarn woven into a plain weave mesh with approximately0.625- to 1.0-inch square openings. Conform to Table 713-4.722
