8. Tighten the screws on the cable clamp.<br />
9. Reinstall the cover and tighten the screw to secure the connector.<br />
10. Prepare the opposite end of the cable for connection to the facility AC power<br />

Installing AC Power Cable to <strong>Robot</strong><br />
1. Connect the AC power cable to your facility AC power source. See Figure 4-4 and<br />
Figure 4-5 on page 59. Do not turn on AC power at this time.<br />
2. Plug the AC connector into the AC power connector on the interface panel on the<br />
robot.<br />
3. Secure the AC connector with the locking latch.<br />
4.8 Grounding the <strong>Adept</strong> <strong>Quattro</strong> <strong>s650H</strong> <strong>Robot</strong> System<br />
Proper grounding is essential for safe and reliable robot operation.<br />
NOTE: You must ground the robot base to the frame for all installations.<br />
• One of the base mounting pads has two small holes (in addition to the M16<br />
mounting hole). One of these is an M8 hole, provided as a ground.<br />
• For identification: The mounting pad opposite this mounting pad has a single slot<br />
(in addition to the M16 mounting hole).<br />
<strong>Robot</strong>-Mounted Equipment Grounding<br />
DANGER: Failing to ground robot-mounted equipment or<br />
tooling that uses hazardous voltages could lead to injury<br />
or death of a person touching the end-effector when an<br />
electrical fault condition exists.<br />
