<strong>Kale</strong> Product Launches:<br />
Last 3 Months (September – November 2015)<br />
Summary<br />
• There were 156 launches in the past 3 months globally that contained kale as<br />
an ingredient.<br />
• There were 2 products launched in Australia over the past three months.<br />
• North America (50%) and Europe (22%) were the key regions for launches.<br />
• Flexible packaging (26%) and bottles (21%) were the most common formats<br />
used for products.<br />
• The main categories for launches were juice drinks (26%), snacks (25%) and<br />
fruits & vegetables (12%).<br />
• Claims used on products highlighted health; low/no/reduced allergen (50%),<br />
gluten free (49%) and no additives/preservatives (36%).<br />
• The most innovative product launched was a <strong>Green</strong> Detox icy-poles containing<br />
