Promotion of South African <strong>Music</strong> Week<br />

The success of the South African <strong>Music</strong> Week depends on aggressive promotion<br />

and marketing from various stakeholders. Public Relations, Marketing and<br />

Communication are the key to the success of South African <strong>Music</strong> Week.<br />

The campaign strives to disseminate information about South African <strong>Music</strong><br />

Week in all major cities of the country, by means of radio, television, press and<br />

the internet, to create awareness amongst the general public and industry and to<br />

encourage participation<br />

• Marketing is central in raising the public awareness of South African<br />

music and South African <strong>Music</strong> Week<br />

• Marketing is critical to increasing the number of people who listen to<br />

radio, watch television, go to live venues and buy music in support of South<br />

African musicians<br />
