4.1 The holder of a sound broadcasting licence must keep and maintain logs, statistical forms<br />

and programme records in a format specified by the Authority containing-<br />

(a) full particulars of-<br />

(i) all the musical works broadcast in each hour of each day of the performance period,<br />

indicating which are South African music;<br />

(ii) each item of South African music identified clearly as required by the Authority.<br />

(b) such other particulars as may be required by the Authority.<br />

4.2 The logs, statistical forms and records contemplated in subregulation (1) must be<br />

preserved in an original form for a period of not less than 12 months after the date of last<br />

entry.<br />

5 Short title<br />

These regulations may be cited as the Independent Broadcasting Authority South<br />

African <strong>Music</strong> Regulations, 1997.<br />
