At an elbow, adhesive tape is first placed on the
outer radius of the elbow. This prevents the tape from
creasing and achieves an optimal hold.
A clear improvement in the remaining noise levels is
achieved by the insulation of the entire body of the
pipe clamp, particularly when the wastewater lines are
plastered in.

The insulation is then laid around the pipe fitting and
the second adhesive tape is also sealed at the outer
radius of the elbow.
To avoid penetration from mortar, all lateral joints of the
insulation are closed by linen tape.
Processing instructions:
Important: When insulating the SML connector or
the body of the pipe clamp, always select insulation
material that is one size larger!

When using isovlies SV for acoustic isolation of the body
of the pipe clamp, a recess for the set screw is first cut
in at a 90° angle to the adhesive tape.
Insulation is then only successful when no “naked” pipe
is visible after the pipe insulation has been carried out.
