Mirror adhesive tape
g Double-side adhesion, closed cell PE foam for
adhesion of glass, wood, metal and plastics with
one another

Processing instructions:
In order to achieve permanent adhesion, the surfaces
must be dry, free of dust, separating agents and oils.
The surface must not be touched. Use solvents
compatible with the material such as petrol or alcohol as
cleaning agents. Cleaning cloths should be free of fuzz
and used once only. Formation of condensate should be
avoided. Adhesive tape on working surface using fitting
roll or scraper. Hard adhesives require a higher fitting
pressure than soft adhesives. Wait for 24 hours before
applying pressure to adhesive. For mirrors with a
thickness of 2 to 6 mm, 50 cm² adhesive tape per kg of
mirrored weight (incl. security reserve) must be
calculated.
Please ensure you always glue vertically (see Fig. below),
never vertically and horizontally at the same time. In
combined vertical and horizontal adhesion over static is
created, the adhesions cancel each other out.

Attention:
Adhesive tape is not suitable for overhead adhesion.
They can be used as installation support for this special
application only. For installing low-energy plastics such
as those used in the furniture industry (veneer films
and other critical plastic-coated surfaces with low
surface pressure) a special tape is required. Porous
surfaces (e.g. concrete) or fiber materials (e.g. wood)
require sealing. This can be achieved, for example, with
suitable varnishing. An even, clean, dust and grease
free surface is always important. Adhesion on
soft PVC require a primer or special adhesive tapes to
reduce the consequences of a possible softener
migration. As we can not control the composition of the
surfaces for adhesion, we recommend an applicationrelated
compatibility test.
