Commentary: David Curtis Skaggs notes that this sermon is “probably by Cradock.”<br />

A note on the top <strong>of</strong> the first page <strong>of</strong> the booklet reads “Balaam’s Wish/2d part-.”<br />

Although no date is given on this sermon, an approximate date might be inferred<br />

by the companion sermon on the same subject, “Baalam’s Wish in 7 parts” (see<br />

accession number 3055). That sermon was first preached in 1754. For information<br />
