Commentary: Accession number 356 is the first <strong>of</strong> four sermons bound together in<br />

the order accession numbers 356, 357, 358, and 359. The sermon consists mainly<br />

Commentary: Accession number 342 is the first <strong>of</strong> four sermons bound together<br />

in the order accession number 342, accession number 343, accession number 344,<br />

and accession number 345. The sermon is dated “1772” at the end. A note on the<br />

sermon reads “2a post Epiph:.” Neale, a native <strong>of</strong> Maryland, was a Jesuit until the<br />

suppression in 1773. He served in Maryland from 1783 until his death, becoming<br />

finally second archbishop <strong>of</strong> Baltimore.<br />
