and, in an unidentified hand, “feria 5 aloysius’s 1st. motive.” Molyneux, a Jesuit until<br />

the suppression in 1773, served in Maryland and Pennsylvania from 1769 until his<br />

death. He re-entered the Society upon its restoration.<br />
