Commentary: David Skaggs notes that this sermon is “probably by Cradock.” This<br />

is the third sermon in a series <strong>of</strong> sermons which discuss a similar subject and<br />

are based on a similar biblical reference (see accession numbers 3079 and 3080).<br />

The three sermons discuss the church service, its parts and history. This sermon<br />

discusses the service after the Creed, the time at which the Homily is delivered.<br />

Commentary: A note at the top <strong>of</strong> the last page <strong>of</strong> the sermon reads “Preach’d June<br />

1769.” The sermon was preached at the funeral <strong>of</strong> a woman. The sermon focuses<br />

on verses she picked out from the Book <strong>of</strong> Job, and the triumph <strong>of</strong> Job’s faith over<br />

Commentary: David Skaggs notes that this sermon is probably by Cradock. This is<br />

the third sermon in a booklet <strong>of</strong> three sermons (see accession numbers 3076 and<br />

3077). All three sermons appear to be complete. A note at the top <strong>of</strong> the first page<br />

<strong>of</strong> this sermon reads “Sermon 13th” and “Of ’e Evil <strong>of</strong> Punishm.[t is spr].” Above<br />

the Title are letters which are difficult to decipher but which appear to read “T” or<br />

“I” followed by a colon and “C.”[small k is spr]. For information on the Cradock<br />
