accession number 50. A few emendations occur throughout the manuscript in the<br />

hand <strong>of</strong> Rev. Arnold Livers. The whole in a wrapper bearing, inside, 16 lines <strong>of</strong><br />

Latin verse signed “Jacobus Clifton” and, outside, capsule titles for the sermons in<br />

Livers’ hand. Pages are numbered 846-849. Attwood, a Jesuit, served in Maryland<br />

from 1712 until his death.<br />
