Commentary: Accession number 216 is the second <strong>of</strong> two sermons bound together<br />

in the order accession number 215 and accession number 216. The sermon<br />

is imperfect. It consists only <strong>of</strong> the text and a part <strong>of</strong> the introduction. Roels,<br />

a Belgian, whose date <strong>of</strong> birth was either 1732 or 1735, was a Jesuit until the<br />

suppression in 1773. He served in Maryland from 1761 until his death.<br />
