emendations throughout and a concluding sentence are in the hand <strong>of</strong> the Rev.<br />

Sylvester Boarman. Morris, a native <strong>of</strong> Maryland, was a Jesuit until the suppression<br />

in 1773. He served in Maryland from 1768 until his death.<br />
