1778. Added in an unidentified hand: “Quinquages.” Diderich (known variously as<br />

Bernard Rich, or John Baptist Diderich—or Diderick), a native <strong>of</strong> Luxembourg, was<br />

a Jesuit until the suppression in 1773. He served in Maryland from 1769 until his<br />

death.<br />
