Commentary: This is the eighth <strong>of</strong> eleven sermons (see accession numbers 999-<br />

1009) bound together in a small volume (see accession number 998). Parts <strong>of</strong> the<br />

text appear to have been originally recorded as outlines, which were subsequently<br />

filled in using a smaller script. Notes on the sermon read “10 (4) 1716 [April 10,<br />

1716] also preached Chath[am, Mass]. 13 (5) 1729. [May 13, 1729].” Whereas<br />

accession numbers 1004 and 1005 focus upon the “Bread” <strong>of</strong> the Lord’s Supper, this<br />
