anatomy, physiology, chemistry and physics and materia medica and<br />

the general principles of therapeutics, medicine, surgergy, obstetrics,<br />

physical diagnosis, and must present satisfactory certificates of labo<br />

ratory instruction in histology, chemistry, pathology and in dissec<br />

tion. In lieu of a certificate of attendance on any laboratory course<br />

of the second year students will be obliged to take the course during<br />

their third year.<br />

(4) Admission to the Fourth Year.<br />

Students coming from other accredited medical colleges, in which<br />

they have already passed three years of study, will be admitted to the<br />

fourth year, after presenting satisfactory certificates for all laboratory<br />

instruction in histology, chemistry, pathology and dissection, and<br />

after passing the final examinations in anatomy, physiology, chemis<br />

try, materia medica, hygiene and toxicology,<br />

and examinations in<br />

medicine, surgery and obstetrics sufficient to show that are capa<br />

ble of profiting by the clinical work of the fourth year. In Hew of<br />

certificates of attendance on any laboratory course included in the<br />

curriculum of this College, students will be obliged to take the course<br />

during<br />

the year.<br />

Examinations required of students coming from other colleges are<br />

held at the commencemeet of the session, or at the regular examina<br />

tions held at the close of the preceding college year, or at the end of<br />

the session of the summer school.<br />

Holders of Special Degrees.<br />

Graduates of pharmacy or of dental or veterinary or other profes<br />

sional schools, who can present satisfactory evidence of having com<br />

pleted any course of study required in any year of the <strong>Cornell</strong> Medi<br />

cal College, may upon passing a satisfactory examination be excused<br />

from attendance upon instruction in that subject, provided they take<br />

equivalent additional work in other branches.<br />

All examinations required of students coming from other colleges<br />

may be taken either at the commencement or end of the year they<br />

enter, as they may elect.<br />

Admission to Special Courses.<br />

Graduates in medicine, or students who desire to pursue a special<br />

course without graduation, are admitted to registration as special stu<br />

dents without Regents'<br />

or other preliminary examination. Such<br />

special courses do not count in any way as part of the four-years'
