CLASSICAL ARCHEOLOGY AND HISTORY OF ART.<br />

The Museum of Classical Archaeology contains a collection of<br />

casts which furnishes ample material for the illustration of the history<br />

of Greek and Roman sculptural art. The museum is also equipped<br />

with a fine collection of Greek coins, with a full set of the British<br />

museum electrotypes, with a collection of Greek vases representing<br />

the periods of Greek ceramic art, and with various plans, models, and<br />

reconstructions .<br />

Course 3, the shorter course of lectures on Greek sculpture in the<br />

museum, will give the student a knowledge of the general history of<br />

the development of Greek art, such a knowledge as will enable him to<br />

view the treasures of the larger museums of this country and of<br />

Europe intelligently. The two hour course will give more opportunity<br />

for independent investigation. This course will be attractive to all<br />

who desire a somewhat more definite and intimate acquaintance with<br />

the work of the best Greek sculptors, and to those who would value<br />

the ability to recognize the beauties, spirit, and of meaning ancient<br />

art.<br />
