Freshman Year.<br />

1. Elements of Architecture. The five orders of Architecture<br />

drawn and rendered in India Ink and in Color. Fall and winter<br />

nine draughting hours per week. Spring twelve draughting hours<br />

and one lecture per week. Professor Trowbridge.<br />

2. Freehand Drawing. Charcoal drawing from the cast. Nine<br />

hours per week throughout the year. Assistant Professor Brauner.<br />

3. Shades and Shadows. One lecture and six draughting hours<br />

per week. Winter term. Professor Trowbridge.<br />

4. Perspective. One lecture and six hours draughting per week.<br />

Spring term. Water color of rendering perspectives is a part of this<br />

course. Professor Trowbridge and Assistant Professor Martin.<br />

Sophomore Year.<br />

20. History of Architecture. Fall : Egyptian, Greek and Roman<br />

Architecture. Winter : Romanesque and Byzantine, Architecture.<br />

Spring : Gothic Architecture. Three lectures per week throughout<br />

the year. Tu., Th., Sat., at nine. Mr.<br />

21. Design. Periodical competitive problems arranged to occupy<br />

about twenty-four draughting hours per week throughout the year.<br />

Criticisms four times per week throughout the year and one lecture<br />

per week in winter and spring. Assistant Professor Van Pelt.<br />

22. Drawing from the Antique. Charcoal and pencil drawing<br />

from plaster casts. Nine hours of drawing per week through fall<br />

and winter terms. Assistant Professor Brauner.<br />

23. Masonry Construction. Spring term. Three hours. Lec<br />

discussions and drawing. Assistant Professor Martin.<br />
