REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION AND<br />

GRADUATION.<br />

The following subjects are required for admission : English, Physi<br />

ology and Hygiene, History [two of the four following divisions in<br />

History : (a) American, (b) English, (c) Grecian, (d) Roman,] Plane<br />

Geometry, Algebra, and either A, B or C, as follows :<br />

A. Greek and Latin.<br />

B. Latin and Advanced French or Advanced German.<br />

C. Advanced French, Advanced German,<br />

matics.<br />

and Advanced Mathe<br />

An alternate requirement instead of Advanced Mathematics may be<br />

offered in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geology, and Zoology.<br />

For admission to the freshman class, communications should be<br />

addressed to the Registrar. See pages 33-53.<br />

For admission to advanced standing from other colleges and uni<br />

versities, comrmmications should be addressed to the Registrar. See<br />

pages 52 and 53.<br />

For admission to graduate work and candidacy for advanced de<br />

grees, communications should be addressed to the Dean of the Uni<br />

versity Faculty. See pages 64-72.}<br />

Degrees. The degree of Bachelor of Letters will not be conferred<br />

after June, 1899.<br />

The degrees of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Philosophy will<br />

not be conferred after June, 1900.<br />

In and after June, 1901, the single degree of Bachelor of Arts will<br />

be conferred, irrespective of the studies elected.<br />
