A technical framework was created by
Italian shark specialists for the development
of the Italian Action Plan for the
conservation and management of Sharks.
The Mediterranean Action Plan for the
Conservation of Chondrichthyan Fishes
constitutes a proposal for regional strategies,
pointing out priorities and actions to be
undertaken at national and regional levels.
Aimed to the assessment of the
Mediterranean elasmobranches species for
the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
