<strong>and</strong> found her still alive <strong>and</strong> conscious. They were <strong>in</strong> time<br />

to hear her last messages. One who was <strong>the</strong>re has told me<br />

that she passed away believ<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> promises <strong>of</strong> Jesus. She<br />

left beh<strong>in</strong>d <strong>the</strong> memory <strong>of</strong> a true <strong>and</strong> faithful wife <strong>and</strong> mo<strong>the</strong>r;<br />

her domestic life was <strong>one</strong> <strong>of</strong> devotion. The servants <strong>of</strong> her<br />

household attested to her k<strong>in</strong>dness <strong>and</strong> consideration by long<br />

I was <strong>the</strong>re a few weeks ago I could but note how few were<br />

<strong>the</strong> real changes <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> arrangement <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> old home, <strong>and</strong> I<br />

liked that fact.<br />

The mo<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> Ernest has her own place <strong>in</strong> <strong>our</strong> family's<br />

story, <strong>and</strong> it is noteworthy that, left a widow with three sons<br />

<strong>and</strong> a daughter to rear, she brought up a family which would<br />

do credit to <strong>the</strong> comb<strong>in</strong>ed efforts <strong>of</strong> both parents. When a<br />
