Pascal Faure, 47, has been Vice-Chairman of the CGIET<br />

(<strong>France</strong>’s General Council for Industry, Energy and Technologies),<br />

the <strong>com</strong>bined General Council of Mines and General Information<br />

Technologies Council, since February <strong>2009</strong>. Pascal Faure<br />

started his career in R&D at Bell Laboratories (United States),<br />

at Apple Computer then at the Centre National d’Etudes des<br />

Télé<strong>com</strong>munications (<strong>France</strong> <strong>Tele<strong>com</strong></strong>/CNET) as a project<br />

manager in secure <strong>com</strong>munications and cryptology. From 1992<br />

to 1995, he worked for the Budget Ministry on administrative<br />

<strong>com</strong>puting policy credits. He was then appointed technical<br />

advisor in charge of budgets, tax affairs, employment and<br />

regional development, for the ministry of tourism, and then for the<br />

ministry of regional development, urbanism and integration. From<br />

1997 to 2001, Pascal Faure served as Director of Development<br />

and Financial Affairs and as Deputy General Administrator of<br />

the Groupe des Ecoles des Télé<strong>com</strong>munications. He was then<br />

appointed deputy technical director for the Defense Ministry.<br />

In parallel, he served as Chairman of the <strong>Tele<strong>com</strong></strong>munications<br />

Engineers’ Association from 2000 to 2006. In 2007, Pascal<br />

Faure was appointed Vice-Chairman of the General Offi ce of<br />

Information Technologies. Pascal Faure is an Ingénieur Général<br />

des Mines. He holds a degree from Ecole Polytechnique (X83)<br />

and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télé<strong>com</strong>munications de<br />

Paris (88). Pascal Faure is Knight of the French Legion of Honor<br />

and a Knight of the French Ordre National du Mérite.<br />

Charles-Henri Filippi, 57, is Chairman of Octagones and<br />

Alfi na, and Senior Advisor for CVC Capital Partners <strong>France</strong>. He<br />

joined CCF in 1987 after several years in French government<br />

service and in Ministerial offi ces. He became Chief Executive<br />

Offi cer of CCF <strong>France</strong> in 1998, and was then appointed to the<br />

Senior Management of HSBC in 2001, in charge of the Group’s<br />

Corporate and Institutional Banking business. He became<br />

Chairman and Chief Executive Offi cer of HSBC <strong>France</strong> in March<br />

2004, then Non-Executive Chairman from August 2007 to<br />

December 31, 2008.<br />
