Daniel Guillot, 53, is Director of Relations with the Ain<br />

département local authority, at the Lyon Regional Division. He<br />

joined <strong>France</strong> <strong>Tele<strong>com</strong></strong> in 1977 as tele<strong>com</strong>munications and<br />

postal controller. In 1986, Daniel Guillot became the central<br />

administrative agent at the Ministry of <strong>Tele<strong>com</strong></strong>munications,<br />

Postal Services and Space, before be<strong>com</strong>ing Chief Inspector in<br />

1993. He held labour union responsibilities at the CFDT Cultural<br />

Consulting Communication Federation since the day it was<br />

founded in 2005 as head of management staff and international<br />

affairs and fi nally, since 2007, as central labour representative<br />

and head of the <strong>Orange</strong> FT group. Until <strong>2009</strong>, Daniel Guillot had<br />

a seat on the worldwide union UNI Télé<strong>com</strong>’s global <strong>com</strong>mittee<br />

and chaired the European <strong>Tele<strong>com</strong></strong>munications Social Dialog<br />

Committee jointly with the employer representative.<br />

Claudie Haigneré, 52, has been Advisor to the Director General<br />

of the European Space Agency (ESA) since November 2005.<br />

A trained doctor, she is a rheumatologist and specialist in<br />

aeronautical medicine. She holds a doctorate in sciences and<br />

was an astronaut with the French space agency CNES, then<br />

ESA, fl ying a space mission to the MIR space station in 1996<br />

and a second mission to the International Space Station (ISS)<br />

in 2001. Ms Haigneré was appointed Minister for European<br />

Affairs from March 2004 to May 2005, after having been<br />

Minister for Research and New Technologies from June 2002<br />

to March 2004. Claudie Haigneré also lends her support<br />

to various health causes: maisons des parents (homes for<br />

parents of hospitalized children), the Alliance des Maladies<br />

Rares with Fondation Groupama and the Kourir Association for<br />

children suffering from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. She is also<br />

a sponsor of the Courtin-Arthritis foundation. Since February<br />

2010, she has chaired the Etablissement Public du Palais de la<br />

Découverte and the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie. Claudie<br />

Haigneré is also a director of Fondation C-Génial, the Académie<br />

des Technologies, the Fondation de <strong>France</strong> and L’Oréal’s<br />

corporate foundation. She is a member of the Académie des<br />

Technologies, the Académie des Sports and of the International<br />

Academy of Astronautics (IAA). In 2006, she was awarded the<br />

Louise Weiss Prize for her European activities. Furthermore she<br />

is a sponsor of the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse, the Institut<br />

de Myologie de la Pitié-Salpétrière set up by the Association<br />

Française contre les Myopathies (AFM), and many schools and<br />

student graduate classes. Claudie Haigneré is a Commander of<br />

the French Legion of Honor.<br />
