AUDIENCE RESPONSE SYSTEM
Audience Response System will be used in selected
sessions to allow attendees to actively participate.
PM PAIN MANAGEMENT
The ACR designates certain sessions for pain
management credit as required by the Medical Board of
California (AB487). This designation is identified by the
icon shown and will be placed next to the session title.
PS PATIENT SAFETY
The ACR designates certain sessions that will satisfy
patient safety/risk management requirements of the
Medical Board of Pennsylvania. This designation is
identified by the icon shown and will be placed next to
the session title.
In-ROOM ENCORE THEATER – no need to miss a
session!
Select ACR sessions will be recorded and replayed
during the meeting in designated hotels. Therefore,
if you missed one of the designated sessions you can
watch the session later that day or the next day in the
In-room Encore Theater. The sessions that have been
scheduled to be replayed in the In-room Encore Theater
are indicated with the icon above. Additional sessions
may be added on site. Check the ACR/ARHP Daily News
for new sessions. Please see page 14 for a tentative list
of sessions.

ACR Resource Center – The Spot for All Things ACR!
Located in the International Boulevard Foyer. Need information
on upcoming educational activities in 2011? Would you like
to view demos of popular ACR and ARHP online resources
including CARE, the Advanced Rheumatology Course,
SessionSelect or the Rheumatology Image Bank? Or do you just
need directions to your next session? You’re in luck… the ACR
Resource Center has it all.
• Advocacy
Stop by the Advocacy kiosk to get the most up-to-date
information on the legislative and regulatory issues affecting
your profession. We have talking points on all ACR legislative
priorities, instructions on how to contact your Members
of Congress and tips on how to get more involved with the
ACR’s advocacy efforts. You can also receive information on
RheumPAC – the ACR’s political action committee.
• Lupus Initiative
New to the ACR Resource Center this year is the Lupus
Initiative. This educational initiative, designed to reduce
health disparities in lupus based on gender, race and
ethnicity, will offer demonstrations of its various educational
resources for medical and health professionals in training and
in practice. Resources include: complimentary CME activities,
physician-patient dialogue cards, suggested reading lists and
much more. Lupus experts are encouraged to drop by to
participate in our weekly online discussion.
• Practice Management & Coding
Visit with ACR certified coders and practice management
experts for any coding, billing, insurance or practice
management questions. We have all the resources you need
for an efficient rheumatology practice. You can also pick up
the latest copy of the ACR’s monthly RheumWATCH.
• Publications
The editorial office staff of the Arthritis & Rheumatism and
Arthritis Care & Research journals will be available to answer
questions concerning online article submission and article
review processes for the journals.
• Quality & Informatics
Learn how enrollment in the RCR can benefit you. The
RCR provides hands-on measurement tools and reports
that enable you to comparatively assess the quality and
outcome of rheumatologic care you provide. Find out how
to incorporate this tool with the ACR’s practice improvement
module.
• Recertification
Need help navigating Maintenance of Certification? Let
the ACR guide you. We have answers to help steer your
route to success with the American Board of Internal
Medicine’s Maintenance of Certification program. An ABIM
representative will be on-site for the entire meeting to help
answer your questions.
