Contraindications<br />

The drug is not recommended during pregnancy due to its ability to cause<br />

abortion (59). Herba Pegani harmalae is contraindicated for paediatric use<br />

and for nursing mothers due to its central nervous system exciting effects<br />

(4, 70). It is also contraindicated in patients with peptic ulcer (22).<br />

Internal use. Infusion: one teaspoonful 3–4 times daily. Prepare by placing<br />

one teaspoonful of dried herb in 1 cup of boiling water and boiling for<br />

15 minutes on a water bath. Then insist within 2 hours, filter (8).<br />
