Dosage forms<br />

Dried styles and/or stigmas used for infusion and other Galenical preparations<br />

for topical applications, as well as for <strong>int</strong>ernal use (60).<br />

Posology<br />

(Unless otherwise indicated)<br />

For <strong>int</strong>ernal use. Daily dosage of dried styles and/or stigmas, 4–8 g or infusion<br />

(4–8 g in 200 ml of boiling water), one tablespoon three times daily<br />

(36). Tincture (1:5) in 25% ethanol, 5–15 ml three times daily (60). Liquid<br />

extract of stigmas (1:1) in 25% ethanol, 4–8 ml three times daily (60).<br />

For external use: Cataplasm or bath, 4–5 tablespoons of stigmas in 400 ml<br />

(two glasses) of boiling water for 20 minutes applied to affected area or<br />

added to the bath water (44).<br />
