Dosage forms<br />

Dried inflorescences with bracts are used for teas and other Galenical<br />

preparations for use in gargles, rinses and other topical applications, as<br />

well as for <strong>int</strong>ernal use (36).<br />

Posology<br />

(Unless otherwise indicated)<br />

Daily dosage for <strong>int</strong>ernal use. Infusion: 2–4 g of dried flowers in 200 ml of<br />

boiling water, three times daily (45). Tincture: (1:5) in 45% ethanol,<br />

1–2 ml, three times daily (55). Fluidextract: (1:1) in 25% ethanol, 24 ml,<br />

three times daily (55).<br />

For gargles and rinses. Infusion: 4–5 tablespoonfuls of dried flowers in<br />

two 200-ml glasses (400 ml in total) of boiling water (66).<br />

Dosage for external use. Bath: steep 4–5 tablespoonfuls of dried flowers in<br />

two 200-ml glasses (400 ml in total) of boiling water for 20 minutes and<br />

add to bath (21).<br />
