Part-IIAim of the Present WorkThus, the Aim of the Present Work was to use microwave irradiation for the synthesisof condensed 2-substitutedpyrimidin-4(3H)-ones (V and VI) involving the condensationof variety of nitriles with o-aminoesters of thiophene, benzene, dimethoxybenzene andquinazolinone in the presence of catalytic amount of HCl alone or with the Lewis acid,AlCl 3 under solvent free conditions for the first time.
