- 1 patient (1.8%) presented advanced glaucoma;<br />

- 12 patients (21.1%) did not present any of the above Ocular disturbances.<br />

The other Etiologies associated with these 57 patients with excessive use of TV or Computer,<br />

were:<br />

- 25 patients (42.9%) with excessive liquid drinks, with an average of 3,300 milliliter daily;<br />

- 23 patients (40.4%) drank caffeine, as coffee, mate, tea or soft drinks.<br />

- 18 patients (31.6%) with excessive soft drinks;<br />

- 8 patients (14%) with beer drinks;<br />

- 5 patients (8.8%) presented shallow eyes anterior chamber;<br />

- 4 patients (7%) with medications that raise the fluids pressures;<br />

- 3 patients (5.3%) with wine drinks, one simultaneously drank beer;<br />

- 1 patient (1.8%) with visceral disturbances;<br />

- And other less frequents etiologies.<br />

We conclude that excessive use of computer or TV causes Ocular <strong>Hypertension</strong> Syndrome with<br />

participation of the other two <strong>Fluids</strong> <strong>Hypertension</strong> <strong>Syndromes</strong>.<br />

XI- 16) – Visceral Disturbances:<br />

From the 931 patients with <strong>Migraines</strong>, in 41 patients (4.4%) they were related with visceral disturbances<br />

(Table XII-1). They were 25 women and 16 men, with average age of 46.8 years.<br />

“Migraineurs suffer from gastric stasis both during and outside an acute migraine attack. This may<br />

suggest that migraineurs may have an abnormal autonomic function compared to nonmigrainous controls.”<br />

(Aurora SK, and others).<br />

We detected that whether and when the liver or other visceral sickness became well, the patients noticed<br />

small reduction of their intraocular pressures and the end of their <strong>Migraines</strong>.<br />

These 41 patients with visceral disturbances complained about:<br />

- 23 patients (56.1%) with wide frontal migraines;<br />

- 13 patients (31.7%) worsened their aches at morning;<br />

- 12 patients (29.3%) with ocular aches;<br />

- 11 patients (26.8%) with occipital migraines;<br />

- 11 patients (26.8%) with eye’s itching or blepharitis;<br />

- 5 women (20% out of the 25 women) worsened during the menstrual cycle;<br />

- 8 patients (19.5%) with eyes redness;<br />

- 8 patients (19.5%) with temporal or head-top (vertex) migraines;<br />

- 6 patients (14.6%) with tearfulness and Rhinitis with coryza (rhinorrhea);<br />

- 6 patients (14.6%) with photophobia;<br />

- 5 patients (12.2%) with nausea and retching or vomits;<br />

- 4 patients (9.8%) with Chronic cough without any pulmonary lesion.<br />

- 3 patients (7.3%) with visual darkness;<br />

- 2 patients (4.9%) with eyelids edema;<br />

- 1 patient (2.4%) with diffuse migraines;<br />

- And other signs and symptoms less frequent.<br />

- Only 2 patients (4.9%) did not complained about migraines and related signs or symptoms.<br />

The other Etiologies associated with these 41 patients with visceral disturbances, were:<br />

- 24 patients (58.5%) with excessive liquid drinks, with an average of 2,800 milliliter daily;<br />

- 19 patients (46.3%) drank caffeine, as coffee, mate, tea or soft drinks.<br />

- 13 patients (31.7%) with coffee, mate or tea;<br />

- 9 patients (22%) with excessive soft drinks;<br />

- 9 patients (22%) with beer drinks;<br />

- 5 women (20% out of 25 women) worsened at menses;
