These 62 patients with cough had the Etiologies:<br />

- 45 patients (72.6%) drank caffeine, as coffee, tea, mate or soft drinks daily.<br />

- 42 patients (67.7%) drank too much water, with an average of 3.6 liters daily;<br />

- 27 patients (43.5%) drank caffeinated soft drinks;<br />

- 24 patients (38.7%) drank coffee, mate or tea;<br />

- 20 patients (32.3%) drank beer;<br />

- 11 patients (17.7%) drank medications that raise the fluids pressures.<br />

- 4 patients (6.5%) drank wine.<br />

These 62 patients with Chronic cough without any pulmonary lesion also presented the following<br />

signs and symptoms:<br />

- 30 patients (48.4%) felt wide frontal migraines,<br />

- 26 patients (41.9%) had blepharitis consequent to fingers rubbing the eyes.<br />

- 23 patients (37.1%) worsened at morning.<br />

- 21 patients (33.9%) had tearfulness or rhinitis.<br />

- 19 patients (30.6%) felt temporal or head-top (vertex) <strong>Migraines</strong>.<br />

- 19 patients (30.6%) suffered from nausea and retching or vomits;<br />

- 16 patients (25.8%) presented eye redness (eye erythema);<br />

- 12 patients (19.4%) felt sneezing.<br />

- 7 patients (17.1% out of the 41 women) worsened during the menstrual cycle;<br />

- 10 patients (16.1%) felt occipital migraines;<br />

- 10 patients (16.1%) felt Ocular migraines.<br />

- 9 patients (14.5%) presented eyelid edemas;<br />

- 8 patients (12.9%) felt dizziness - vertigo;<br />

- 8 patients (12.9%) presented Photophobia.<br />

There were other signs and symptoms with lesser frequencies.<br />

At the examination of these 62 coughing patients, we found:<br />

- 29 patients (46.8%) presented mild Optic nerve’s borders edema, and<br />

- 23 patients (37.1%) presented 0.5 diopter Optic Nerve’s borders edema; from these,<br />

- 7 patients (11.3%) also with white sheaths around the Optic Nerve disk vessels;<br />

- 8 patients (12.9%) were suspects of Glaucoma;<br />

- 7 patients (11.3%) presented incipient Glaucoma;<br />

- 1 patient (1.6%) presented advanced Glaucoma;.<br />

- Only 1 patient (1.6%) did not present any visible Optic Nerve pathology.<br />

We conclude that recurrent dry cough in 98.4% of patients is a sure symptom of Ocular or<br />

Cerebrospinal <strong>Fluids</strong> <strong>Hypertension</strong> <strong>Syndromes</strong>.<br />

VI-16 – Recurrent or chronic sneezing:<br />

We collected 55 patients with recurrent sneezing, chronically medicated but without cure.<br />

The 55 patients with recurrent sneezing had the Etiologies:<br />

- 41 patients (74.5%) drank caffeine, as coffee, tea, mate or soft drinks daily.<br />

- 37 patients (67%) drank too much water, with an average of 3.7 liters daily;<br />

- 29 patients (53%) drank caffeinated soft drinks,<br />

- 18 patients (32.7%) drank coffee, mate or tea;<br />

- 10 patients (18.2%) drank beer;<br />

- 8 patients (14.5%) drank medications that raise the fluids pressures.<br />

- 6 patients (10.9%) drank wine.<br />

These 55 patients with recurrent sneezing also presented the following signs and symptoms:<br />

- 25 patients (45.5%) worsened on awakening;
