- 5 patients (9.1%) presented wide frontal migraines;<br />

- 4 patients (7.3%) presented eye redness (eye erythema);<br />

- 4 patients (7.3%) suffered from nausea and retching or vomits;<br />

- 4 patients (7.3%) presented chronic sneezing;<br />

- 2 patients (3.6%) presented eyelid edemas;<br />

- 2 patients (3.6%) felt temporal or at the head-top (vertex) <strong>Migraines</strong>.<br />

- 2 patients (3.6%) felt occipital migraines;<br />

- 2 patients (3.6%) presented transient visual darkening;<br />

- 2 patients (3.6%) presented obstructive rhinitis;<br />

- 1 patient (1.8%) presented dizziness - vertigo;<br />

And other lesser frequent signs and symptoms.<br />

The Etiologies of these 55 patients with diffuse migraines were:<br />

- 28 patients (50.9%) drank caffeine, as coffee, tea, mate or soft drinks daily.<br />

- 22 patients (40%) drank too much water, with an average of 3.0 liters daily;<br />

- 20 patients (36.4%) drank caffeinated soft drinks;<br />

- 15 patients (27.3%) presented intraocular pressure of 17 mmHg or more;<br />

- 13 patients (23.6%) drank beer;<br />

- 10 patients (18.2%) drank coffee, mate or tea;<br />

- 8 patients (14.5%) presented intraocular pressure of 22 mmHg or more;<br />

- 6 patients (10.9%) presented shallow anterior chamber in their eyes;<br />

- 4 patients (7.3%) drank wine;<br />

- 4 patients (7.3%) used TV or computer excessively;<br />

- 3 patients (5.5%) took medications that raise the fluids pressures;<br />

- 1 patient (1.8%) presented visceral disturbances.<br />

In these 55 patients with diffuse migraines, we found the following during the examination:<br />

- 24 patients (43.6%) presented minimal Optic Nerve's borders edema, and<br />

- 12 patients (21.8%) presented evident Optic Nerve's borders edema.<br />

- From those above patients with Optic Nerve's borders edema, 4 patients presented also peri-vascular<br />

white sheaths around the Optic Nerve disk vessels.<br />

- 4 patients (7.3%) were suspects of glaucoma;<br />

- 5 patients (9.1%) presented incipient glaucoma;<br />

- 2 patients (3.6%) presented advanced glaucoma.<br />

- In only 10 patients (18.2%), 6 adults and 4 children, we did not find any of the above disturbances.<br />

We conclude that diffuse migraines were associated with multiple other signs and symptoms of<br />

Ocular, Cerebrospinal and Inner Ears <strong>Fluids</strong> <strong>Hypertension</strong> <strong>Syndromes</strong>, and were important<br />

symptoms to Glaucoma.<br />

VI-18 - Recurrent Obstructive Rhinitis or Nasal congestion or Nasal stuffiness (without coryza):<br />

Between the patients with some Migraine, we had 44 patients with this obstructive and dry recurrent<br />

rhinitis or Nasal congestion.<br />

Out of these 44 patients with obstructive recurrent rhinitis, during examination we found the<br />

following:<br />

- 18 patients (40.9%) with minimal 0.25 Diopters Optic Nerve's border edema;<br />

- 22 patients (50%) with evident 0.5 Diopters Optic Nerve's borders edema; and at these patients,<br />

- 10 patients (22.7%) with white sheaths around the Optic Nerve disk vessels.<br />

- 3 patients (6.8%) with suspicion of of Glaucoma;<br />

- 3 patients (6.8%) with incipient Glaucoma;<br />

- No patient (0%) with advanced Glaucoma.
