Figure 5–9 shows the incidence rates <strong>of</strong> EndangermentSt<strong>and</strong>ard maltreatment for the different family structure <strong>and</strong> living arrangementsubgroups. The rate <strong>of</strong> overall Endangerment St<strong>and</strong>ard maltreatment for children livingwith two married biological parents (15.8 children per 1,000) is significantly lower thanthe rates for children in all other circumstances (51.5 or more children per 1,000).<strong>Child</strong>ren living with one parent whose unmarried partner was in the household had thehighest incidence <strong>of</strong> Endangerment St<strong>and</strong>ard maltreatment (136.1 children per 1,000).This is equivalent to more than 13 per 100 children, or more than 1 child in 8 whosesingle parent has a cohabiting partner in the general child population.
