The first surveys were mailed in March 2006 <strong>and</strong> nearly all returns were receipted by September2006, with only a few late arrivals.As shown in Table A–13, 41% <strong>of</strong> the sentinels responded, for a total <strong>of</strong> 2,455completed questionnaires. Response rates were similar across the four sentinel groups.Analyses will examine variations in responses to different types <strong>of</strong> maltreatment <strong>and</strong>will identify differences across the sentinel groups. In addition, the data will be examined todetermine whether changing the perpetrator makes a difference <strong>and</strong> which factors, such as age<strong>and</strong> harm, are most important to sentinels in deciding what to do about cases <strong>of</strong> suspected childmaltreatment.Table A–13.
