Thekappa statistic, used to index inter-coder reliability on these decisions, was .61, indicating amoderate level <strong>of</strong> inter-coder agreement on this complex task.Tabulations based on the SPM Phase II codes will be analyzed to help inunderst<strong>and</strong>ing the NIS–4 main study findings on the percentages <strong>of</strong> uninvestigated maltreatedchildren.
