Receipt of the Claims and Objections:15. During the period after draft publication, the claims and objections should reachthe officers authorized to receive them within the prescribed period. No claim orobjection received after last date <strong>for</strong> filling such claims and objections should beaccepted. After specified revision period is over, the <strong>for</strong>ms can be accepted at anytimeduring continuous updation with reference to the last finally published roll.16. The ERO or any officer designated by him in this behalf under Rule 14(a) ofRER, 1960, i.e. the DO and the BLO can receive the Forms. For this purpose everyBLO shall be designated as the Designated Officer. These Forms can also be sent by post(India post or other courier services) to the ERO. The objective is to facilitate the lodgingof claims and objections in all parts of the constituency including the rural, difficult andinaccessible areas.17. The DEOs/EROs should prescribe holidays and non-working days and nonworkinghours as duty period <strong>for</strong> Teachers who may be inducted in some places asDesignated <strong>Officers</strong> and BLOs. Non-teaching Designated <strong>Officers</strong> should be instructed toremain on duty throughout the prescribed period irrespective of the fact whether theinstitution is closed on the particular day or not or the working hours of the institution aredifferent. For teachers, a specific time during non-working hours on working days andthrough out the prescribed hours on holidays can be prescribed.18. The authorized officers of the ERO should only accept individual applications.However, if individual applications relating to the members of the same household, i.e.,same family, are presented together, they may be accepted. Claims and objectionspresented in bulk by any individual/organization except authorized BLA should berefused/rejected. The same principle will be applicable to claims and objections sent inbulk by post.19. Forms 6,7 ,8 and 8A received by the BLOs and Designated officers shall bedisplayed in Form 9, 10, 11, and 11A respectively at the Designated Officer’s office <strong>for</strong>the area. A copy thereof shall be given to the concerned ERO who shall also make thesimilar list <strong>for</strong><strong>for</strong>ms received at his office and after including the list received fromBLOs/Designated Officer publish the lists in the ERO office notice board . In addition to theabove, the <strong>Commission</strong> has further directed that computerized lists of <strong>for</strong>ms received shallalso be displayed on CEOs website on day to day basis . The status of each application <strong>for</strong>mshould be clearly visible on each row of the list Further , the web application used <strong>for</strong> thispurpose should also provide aapplication <strong>for</strong>m can be seen and printed by any citizen.facility, that on clicking on any in the list, the concerned40
