: The Company has entered into Fuel Supply
Agreement (FSA) with M/s Coal & Oil, Dubai
for Supply of Entire Coal requirement for the
Project, on 26 th June 2008.
Domestic Coal Linkage has also been sought
from the Ministry of Coal, GOI.
: Based on LTOA application, PGCIL has
finalized the Transmission System, which was
approved in the Southern Region Power
Committee meeting held at Hyderabad on 27 th
August 2009. Approval was also given to make
LILO of Madurai, TNEB – NLC Joint Venture
(JV) project 400 KV double circuit line and
connect to the Energen’s Power Plant to draw
start-up Power and Evacuate Power until the
complete Transmission system is established.
PGCIL has to give draft BPTA.
Broad Status
• Letter of Acceptance for Main Plant Order (EPC )
issued to M/s BHELon 27.06.2008.
• Advance released to BHEL on
• 16.08.08 & on 30.03.09.
• Letter of Intent ( LOI ) issued to BHEL
• on 04.09.2008.
• BOPs are common for both units.
• Boiler ( M/s UB Engg. ) erection started on
31.07.09.. Out of 25000 MT of boiler material, 5622
MT has been erected upto 06/10.
• Boiler drum lifted on 25/03/10.
• Boiler pressure parts erection commenced.
1070/10228 MT material erected.
• Boiler hydraulic test expected by Nov’10.
• ESP erection started on 10.08.09. Out of 8850 MT
material,3113 MT erected up to 06/10.
• Power house super structure erection is in progress.
4842/8283 MT material fabricated and 2143 MT
erected
• STG deck: 100 % Staging work completed and
80% concreting work completed.
• 875 Acres of land is in possession for the project.
• MOEF clearance received on 29.05.2008.
• Civil Aviation clearance obtained on 16.05.08
• PPA for 700 MW power signed with Tata Power
Trading Company Ltd
• PCB clearance obtained on 03.03.2009
• BPTA signed with PGCIL on 24.02.2010.
• CRZ clearance obtained on 10.08.09
• Chimney: Work awarded to M/s Gammon India
on 12.11.09. Raft foundation completed. Slip form
erected.
• CHP: Awarded to Thyssen Krupp Industries India
on 18.03.10. Infrastructure works in progress.
• AHP: bid evaluation is in progress.
• CT: bid evaluation is in progress.
• M/s Gammon India Ltd. has been awarded the
BTG–Island civil & structural work on 12.11.09.
Casting of foundation is in progress.
• PT plant: Bid evaluation in progress.
• DM Plant: Bid evaluation in progress.
• CW system: Bids invited. Last date is 19.07.10
• FO system: bid document is under finalization
