Power Evacuation System:
a) 400 KV D/C Maithon-Jamshedpur (PG) Line S/C LILO at Mejia –(90 Ckm) to
meet the startup power of MTPS Ph-II.-commissioned on 02/10.
b) 400 KV D/C Mejia-Maithon (PG) Line 114 Ckm for the power evacuation of
MTPS Ph-II.
Fuel Supply Arrangement:
a) Barjora (North) & Khagra-Jaydev for 3 MT each, Coal block was allocated to
DVC with proposed use of MTPS PH-II .
b) Before the development of above blocks, DVC has applied for tapering
linkage@2.5 MTPA to MoC with the recommendation of CEA & MoP.

Broad Status
• LOA (EPC) was placed on BHEL
on 08.01.07.
Unit-1:
Boiler erection started on 26.09.2007.
Drum lifting was done on 29.03.08.
Boiler hydro test was conducted on
9 th April’09. The BLU was completed
on 31 Dec’09. EDTA completed on
21.02.2010. SBO completed in
Mar’10.
Condenser erection started on
26.09.08. TG erection was started from
01.12.08. Turbine Box Up completed
on 09 th Nov’09.Unit synchronised on
12 th April’10 at 01:30 Hrs. with 35
MW Load and commissioning is
expected in Sept’10.
Unit-2
• Boiler erection started on
30.12.2007. Drum lifting was done
on 08.07.2008. Boiler hydro test
was conducted on 27 th July’09. The
BLU completed on 1 st July’10.
• TG deck casting completed on
08.11.08. Condenser erection
started in 10 th Jan.09. TG box up
expected in 07/10. Unit
synchronisation expected in Oct’10
and commissioning in Jan’10.
