• M/s Shanghai Electric Corpn., China has
been selected as EPC contractor through
competitive bidding on 23.03.08 for
executing the project.
• Advance payment released on 20.05.08 to
SEC.
• Notice to proceed (NTP) has also been
issued on 15.09.08 to EPC contractor.
• MOE&F clearance obtained in July’09.
• Facilities of Coal handling plant , DM
plant will be utilized from the existing
facilities.
• Orders for balance BOPs are under
process.
• Piling work at BTG area commenced in
October, 2009 and is in progress

• Boiler erection to commenced in 02/2010
Unit-4
• Boiler foundation work completed.
• Boiler erection started in June, 2010
