Power Evacuation System:
a) Open access by PGCIL for evacuation and startup power.
Fuel Supply Arrangement:
a) SLC (LT) granted long term linkage for 4.864 MTPA for BCCL.
b) MT(0.5 MT each from Karo OCP & Khasmahal OCP) from CCL
c) MT out of middling from Tata Steel

Broad Status
(i) DVC Board on 24.03.05 ratified the ownership
pattern of 26% (DVC) and 74% (TPC)
Status:
(i) Boiler erection of unit-1 was started on
08.09.2008 against the schedule of 25.08.2008
and 11477 MT material erected so far. Drum
lifted on 22.03.09. Boiler hydro test completed
on 24th Mar’10. Boiler litup is expected in
Aug’10
(ii) TG deck casting was completed on
21.06.2009.Condenser erection work started on
10.08.09. TG erection started on Dec’09.
Preliminary works for Turbine and Stator
erection are in progress. condenser tube
insertion is in progress. TG boxup is expected
in Sep’10.
(iii) For Unit-2, Boiler erection started in 21 Jan’09
and 7284 MT material erected so far. Drum
lifted on 03.08.09. Boiler hydro test is expected
in Aug’10.
(iv) TG raft casting is completed. Shuttering for
columns is in progress. Deck casting completed
27.12.09.condenser erection work started on
23.06.10.
(v) ESP erection work of unit-1& 2 started and
3381 & 3106 MT material has been erected so
far respectively.
(vi) Power House PH#1 structural work has been
almost completed .erection work of Unit-2
started and 1829 MT materials have been
erected so far.
(vii) Chimney – Flue can erection work is in
progress.
(viii) Cooling Tower(IDCT1) – Trial Run of IDCT1
has been completed. Mechanical equipment
erection and film filling work for IDCT2 is in
progress.
(ix) DM plant has been partially commissioned.
Piping work for pumps & installation of Field
instruments is in progress.
(x) CHP: RCC work at Track hopper is in progress.
Mechanical Erection for Stacker Reclaimer has
commenced. Structural work for Crusher House
has commenced. Junction Tower and Conveyor
Belt related structural erection is in progress.
Manufacturing is in progress for CHS related
equipment.
(xi) Switch yard etc- Testing for 400kV equipment
has been completed. Testing of Control and
relay panel I in progress. Testing of reactors
and Station Transformer is in progress.
Illumination work is in progress at Power House
#1. Earthing Material laying work is in
progress. HVAC equipment installation has
been completed in Switchyard Control Room.
(xii) Project has achieved 81.53% progress.
