Zero date:25.01.07 - 88 - Broad Status • Order for main plant placed on 30.04.07 on M/s BHEL and 10% advance paid on 01.06.07. • MOEF clearance obtained in 03/08. • Boiler erection commenced by Santosh Constructions on 16.07.08. • Drum lifting completed on 19.12.08. • Hyd. Test completed on 14/09/09. • Boiler light-up is expected by 07/10. • Condenser erection started on 19.05.09. • TG erection started on 14/08/09. • TG box up: HP/IP completed, LP inner casing placed. • Total civil and erection works of Chimney completed, except erection works of stair case, completion of the same is expected by 15.07.2010 (M/s Gammon India). • Total civil and erection works of IDCT completed, except the commissioning of cooling tower which is expected by 15.07.2010 (M/s Gammon India). • AHP (Macawber Beekay Pvt. Ltd): Civil& Equipment Erection works under progress Supply of 2No’s Ash Slurry Disposable Pumps are yet to be supplied.Expected completion of AHP works by Sept’10. • CHP (TRF):Order placed on TRF on 06.07.09. Civil fronts handed over during May. Crusher house part erection completed. Electrical part under progess. Stacker works to be commenced.Expected to be ready by Jun’11 with stacker reclaimer. • Major Portion of Civil Works of ESP Control Room, DMCW Pump House, Compressor Room, CW Pump House is completed and equipment erection works are under progress. • Station Transformer-5 was charged on 02.06.2010. Critical Areas • Though the zero date was 01/2007, actual work could commence only by end Dec’07 due to nonavailabilit y of MOE&F clearance. • Slow progress of works on all fronts thereafter. • Occasional problems like cyclones which disrupts the work.

Zero date: 22.02.07 - 89 - Broad Status • Order for main plant placed on M/s BHEL on 22.02.07. • Boiler erection started on 10.04.08 by Indwell.. • Boiler drum lifted on 18. 08.08. • Boiler hydraulic test completed on 23/10/09. • Boiler light up is expected by July’10. • ESP erection work started on 30.04.08 by Indwell. • Condenser erection commenced on 23 rd Nov’09 and TG erection commenced on 3 rd Dec’09. • TG Stator put on TG deck and erection completed on 24.01.10. • TG box up is expected by Aug’10 subject to supply of LP Rotor by Apr’10.(HPT scheduled in Jan’10, dispatched in Feb’10 and LPR scheduled in Mar’10, expected to dispatch in April’10). • Orders for BOPs including civil works placed on M/s BGR Energy Systems Ltd. on 23.02.08. • Chimney internal AR brick lining in progress. • NDCT : Shell concreting upto 31 lifts completed. Internal fill columns pre-cast beams erection completed. • CHP: Conveyor TP-W, U& X raft and pedestals completed. • Columns upto bottom of tie beams L/s PA & FD fans are completed . • ESP control room finishing works are in progress. • Works of F.O pump house, Compressor house, CWPH-sump, chlorination plant, 400 kV & 200 kV switchyard are in progress. • Works of Ash Pump house completed. Critical Areas • Initial delay in start of boiler erection due to delay of boiler foundations completion by BGR Energy (Systems) Ltd. • Supply & erection of material by BHEL. • Due to shortage of welders,fitters,r od benders and erection supervisors BDL, HT activities delayed by more than 6 months. • Initial delay of BOP works by BGR. • Occasional problems like cyclones which disrupts the work.
