Broad Status<br />

• Zero date of the project is 07.09.06.<br />

• Site handed over to M/s BHEL on 29 th<br />

March’07.<br />

• UPRVUNL informed that on 19 th<br />

May’09 a major disaster happened at the<br />

site i.e. complete main plant building<br />

structure main column (A1to A9 in A<br />

row),(B1 to B9 in B row), roof<br />

truss(2to9), Crane Girder 2to9 of A row<br />

& 1to9 of B row of Unit-8 being erected<br />

by the sub-contractor of M/s BHEL<br />

collapsed. After this major mishap all the<br />

damaged columns are required to be<br />

fabricated and erected which may cause<br />

delay in readiness of TG hall .<br />

• Unit-9 will be commissioned prior to<br />

unit-8<br />

BOPs:<br />

• Order for Chimney has been placed on M/s<br />

NBCC on 1 st Jun’07. Raft reinforcement &<br />

PCC is in progress .<br />

• Structural steel fabrication & erection is in<br />

progress.<br />

• PCC work of wagon Tippler-1&2 in<br />

progress. Raft reinforcement for TP-1 is in<br />

progress..<br />

• AHP contractor yet to mobilize to start<br />

works.<br />

• DM tank foundation completed.<br />

• Excavation in Cooling Tower area in<br />

progress.<br />

Unit-8:<br />

• Boiler erection commenced on 25 th Aug’08.<br />

4589 MT material erected till 05/09. 2835<br />

MT ESP material erected .<br />

• Boiler drum lifting completed on 25/01/09.<br />

• Boiler hydraulic test is expected by<br />

October, 09<br />

• ESP: Collecting electrodes erection in<br />

pass-A completed Hoppers erection is in<br />

progress Electrode supporting structure<br />

erection in Pass-B in progress.<br />

• FD fan & ID fans foundation is in progress.<br />

• TG deck RCC columns & Beams casting in<br />

progress.<br />

• Condenser erection expected to start after<br />

completion of erection of damaged columns<br />

of AB row<br />

Unit-9:<br />

• Boiler erection commenced on 20.11.08 and<br />

is in progress.790 MT boiler material and<br />

255 MT ESP material erected.<br />

• Boiler drum lifting completed on 31/03/09.<br />

• Boiler hydraulic test is expected by Nov’09.<br />

• Boiler light up is expected in April, 2009.<br />

• TG deck construction in progress and TG<br />

erection is likely to commence in<br />

December, 2009.<br />

• Commissioning is expected in 09/2010<br />
