To exit out of configuration EXEC mode, <strong>the</strong> key combination Ctrl+Z is<br />

used. Additionally, <strong>to</strong> exit out of <strong>the</strong> privileged EXEC mode and return<br />

<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> user EXEC mode, use <strong>the</strong> command, which is<br />

illustrated in <strong>the</strong> example below:<br />

Configuration EXEC<br />

Configuration EXEC mode is only for creating and modifying <strong>the</strong><br />

router's configuration files. It's entered from a privileged EXEC mode<br />

with a security level of 1 or higher. The command's<br />

default security setting is level 15, part of <strong>the</strong> IOS's default privileged<br />

EXEC command set. The configuration EXEC's command set is used<br />

only for router configuration. There are four configuration options.<br />
