for 7–8 months. Marmara is an area of intensive animal husbandry. Central
Anatolia has the least productive grazing lands ; annual rainfall is between
250–500 mm; pastures dry out very quickly; grazing pressure is high; and pastures
are steppic. Central Anatolia is a high plateau with few high mountains,
so livestock graze fallows and stubble in summer .
