future for the youth.<br />
The summit had two<br />
components: first, presentations<br />
were made on existing<br />
projects and potential opportunities<br />
in each of the four<br />
fields listed above. After each<br />
field, delegates were encouraged<br />
to provide comments<br />
and ask questions to the<br />
presenters in order to generate<br />
discussion among the<br />
group.<br />
It was repeated many<br />

that the ultimate objective<br />
of any economic development<br />
plan for Nunavik is to<br />
create a better future for the<br />
youth. A sustainable development<br />
plan is one that represents a common vision for development in<br />
Nunavik that creates jobs and wealth for Nunavimmiut while also enhancing<br />
community wellbeing and protecting the environment. Working<br />
together through collaborative partnerships and networks with a variety<br />
