The first two presentations in this section provided information on<br />
the opportunities and challenges associated with Nunavik tourism potential<br />
as a whole and the third presentation offered a practical example of a<br />
successful business in the industry. KRG’s role is to work with businesses<br />

The Pingualuit Park interpretation centre is the first of its kind in Nunavik.<br />
and organizations to develop tourism products, while NTA’s mandate is<br />
to promote tourism in Nunavik across Canada and around the world. It<br />
also acts as a liaison between providers and tourists.<br />
Both organizations see considerable economic opportunities in<br />
the industry and both agree that community-based tourism is essential.<br />
NTA’s vision for tourism in Nunavik involves building on the new trend<br />
