ensure that hockey be used as tool to promote education for all the
kids involved.

will need to form a local hockey tournament committee to oversee
the planning and aftermath of the tournament.
Criteria to host a tournament
Here are the criteria to be followed and respected in order for a
community to host a NYHDP minor hockey tournament, and for municipalities
or school to register teams to participate in these events:
• The community must have followed the NYHDP rules during the
season
• All participants must be students who have the approval of
their school to participate in the tournament (in respect to their
attendance, behaviour and effort)
