oynuyor.
Temennimiz, Design Turkey’in, Türkiye’nin 2023 hedeflerine ulaşması yolunda verdiği katkının artarak sürmesidir.
Mr. Mehmet Büyükekşi
President, Turkish Exporters Assembly
Innovation is Our Key Driver
Despite the negative impact of the crisis at the Eurozone, our export was the locomotive of the Turkish economy. Ten years ago,
Turkey’s total exports was only 36 billion dollars, our exports have reached a new record by reaching a 152,5 billion dollars export
in 2012. Positive developments of our export also reflected positively of our economy. Our increasing export led to a strong decline
at current account and foreign trade deficit.
The rising trend of the exports has brought way to new investments and employment opportunities. As a result, while the world
economies were struggling with difficulties and low demand, Turkey reached a privileged position as being detached from the world
economies. While every four of the ten firm affecting ongoing Eurozone crisis, despite declining market share of the European
Union, Turkey managed to incease total exports by penetration into new markets.
Being very confident at the moment, Turkey put a great vision. Now, we aim to be among the top 10 economies of the world and to
reach the export of 500 billion dollars, when we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
We believe that we can achieve these goals by transforming our exports by more innovative products and R & D basis, investing
more and more to branding and design.
At this context, Design Turkey stepped forward and became the most prestigious design organization of Turkey. Design Turkey,
plays an important role for transformation process of the Turkey, by motivating our designers, and by bringing them together with
the innovative companies.
We strongly believe that the contribution of Design Turkey in reaching the goals stated for 2023 will continue to increase further.
