Namık Özer, 1962 yılında doğdu. 1985’te Orta Doğu Teknik
Üniversitesi, Endüstri Ürünleri Tasarımı Bölümü’nden mezun
oldu. 1986-1988 yılları arasında Nurol Grubu LAMAŞ A.Ş.’de
plastik ürünleri tasarımcısı olarak çalıştı. 1988-1998 Endüstriyel
Tasarımcılar Meslek Kuruluşu kurucu üyeliği, Yönetim ve Denetleme
Kurulu üyeliği görevlerinde bulundu ve Designers’ Odyssey ’94
Sergisi düzenleme kurulu üyesi olarak görev yaptı. 1991-1995 yılları
arasında Damdekor Ltd. Şti.’nde Tasarım ve Üretim Planlama
Departmanı sorumlusu, iç mekan tasarım ve uygulamaları
çalışmalarında bulundu. 1994-1996 yıllarında Bilkent Üniversitesi,
İç Mimarlık ve Çevre Tasarımı Bölümü’nde öğretim görevliliği yaptı.
1994-1997 arasında Tunaçelik A.Ş. ve Tepe Proje ve Pazarlama
A.Ş.’de müşteri temsilcisi ve tasarımcı olarak Havelsan açık ofisleri,
Rekabet Kurumu ofisleri projelerinde çalıştı. 1997-1998 yıllarında
Alanya’daki Pegasos Hotel projesi iç mekan tasarım ve kontrol ekibi
üyesi olarak görev yaptı. 1998-2003 arasında serbest mobilya ve iç
mekan tasarımcısı olarak çeşitli tasarım ve uygulamalar üzerinde
çalıştı. 2000’den 2002’ye kadar Endüstriyel Tasarımcılar Meslek
Kuruluşu Başkan Yardımcılığı görevini yürüttü. 2003’ten 2012’ye
kadar Ankara’da MTT Ltd. Şti’nde tasarım departmanı sorumlusu
ve proje yöneticisi olarak görev yaptı. Tamamladığı projeler arasında
Libya Geçici Parlamentosu, iç mekan tasarım ve uygulaması; Tripoli,
Libya’da Al-Fateh konser ve tiyatro binası iç mekan tasarımı ve kısmi
uygulaması; Kuzey Irak’ta RAST Group yönetim binası iç mekan
tasarım ve uygulaması; Hamburg’da HD Yachthafen Rezidenz’ın tüm
mobilyalarının tamamlayıcı tasarımları ve uygulaması; Çanakkale’de
Kolin Otel’in suit ve grand suitleri, Göreme’de Turist Otel mobilyaları
tasarım ve uygulamaları; PTT Genel Müdürlük Binası makam ve
yönetim katları, Ulaştırma Bakanlığı makam ve çalışma odaları,
iç mekan tasarımı ve uygulamaları; Manavgat’ta Starlight Oteli
restoranlarının mobilya tasarım projeleri ve Yol-İş sendikası
İstanbul misafirhanesi bina renovasyonu ve iç mekan tasarımı
projesi uygulamaları bulunuyor.
Namık Özer was born in 1962, and graduated from the Department
of Industrial Design of Middle East Technical University in 1985.
From 1986 to 1988, he worked for LAMAŞ Inc. in the Nurol Group
as a designer of plastic products. Between 1988 and 1998, he was
a founding member and a member of the Executive Board Member
and Auditor of Industrial Designers Society of Turkey, and also
worked as a member of the organization board for the Designers’
Odyssey 94’exhibition. From 1991 to 1995, he was in charge of the
Department of Design and Production Planning of Damdekor Ltd.,
and conducted work on the design and implementation of interior
spaces. Between 1994 and 1996, he was a member of the teaching
staff in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental
Design at Bilkent University. From 1994 to 1997, he worked as a
sales representative and designer for Tunaçelik Inc. and Tepe Project
and Marketing Inc. on projects including the Havelsan open offices
and the Competition Authority offices. Between 1997 and 1998,
he was a member of the interior design and control team for the
Pegasos Hotel project in Alanya. From 1998 to 2003, he conducted
a number of design and implementation work as an independent
furniture and interior designer. Between 2000 and 2002, he acted
as the Vice-President of ETMK. From 2003 to 2012, he worked
for MTT Ltd. in Ankara as the person in charge of the design
department, and also as the project manager. Among the projects
he has completed are the interior design and its implementation for
the Libyan temporary parliament building, the interior design and
partial implementation for the Al-Fateh concert and theatre hall in
Tripoli, the interior design and implementation of the RAST Group
management building in Northern Iraq, the complementary design
of furniture and its implementation for the HD Yachthafen Rezidenz
in Hamburg, the suits and grand suits for Kolin Hotel in Çanakkale,
the design of furniture and its implementation for Turist Hotel in
Göreme, the interior design and its implementation for the office
and management storeys of the general management building of
the Post, Telegraph and Telephone Office, and for the offices and
work rooms of the Ministry of Communications, the furniture design
projects for the restaurants of the Starlight Hotel in Manavgat, and
the renovation and interior design project for the Istanbul guesthouse
of the Yol-İş Labor Union.
