KAVRAMSAL
Hava koşulları da her an değişebilir.
1999 Kocaeli Depremi’nde Adapazarı’nda meydana gelen
zemin sıvılaşması binalarda büyük hasarlar meydana
getirmişti. Bir doğa olayından yola çıkılarak geliştirilen
senaryoda, uygun geometrideki bir kitle titreştirilecek,
çevresindeki malzemenin sıvılaşması sağlanacak ve zemine
derinlemesine batması gerçekleştirilecek ve böylece bağlı
olduğu teknenin güvenliği sağlanmış olacaktır.
Anyone can make a boat go. The real challenge is if a skipper
can make it stay put when he wants it to do so. Here we shall
deal with the tool that fixes a boat to the sea bed, namely an
anchor. The characteristics and the type of sea bed - sand,
shale, mud, gravel - affect the type of anchor one should use.
It has been said that anchoring is 20% equipment and 80%
technique. There are times when one worries whether the
anchor is holding. It can roll out and dislodge in vicious wind
gusts and squalls. These conditions are often unexpected
and are cause for concern. This consern provided us to
aware a thecnique used by the nature to increase the holding
ability of an anchor. The shaking of an earthquake can,
within minutes, turn a loose sandy soil saturated with water
into a fluid porridge that no longer supports a building and
will sink or tip it over. This earthquake effect, known as soil
liquefaction, contributed to the devastation that occurred in
Kaocaeli in 1999. The sea bed material is naturally saturated
with water and only buy repeating what the nature does we
can make a piece of solid with a special geometry to sink
deep into it and securely hold the boat in place, connected to
it.
